These iconic red flowered plants are typical Christmas decorations in homes, offices, shopping centres and in towns and villages. They can be kept indoors as house plants and in mild climates, be grown outside.
The most popular colour of the plants is red but there are also numerous shades of whites, pinks and also colour combinations. They are known as Flor de Pascua in Lanzarote.
When buying a Poinsettias select a plant that has green foliage nearly to the soil line and with small, green, button like flower parts in the cluster of the flower.
