The old wine run which was held in La Geria has been replaced by an event organised by the Art,Culture and Tourism Centers with a new event. Unlike the wine rine which was held in the month of June, this event will take place on 23/12/22. Two athletic running events will be held, 11.5 and 6.5 kilometers; and two walks, 6.5 and 4.5 kilometers. Registrations are available on the following link link www.carreraelcampesino.com, registration includes a 5 euros in voucher, which can be exchanged for wine or Christmas pastries during the evening of Christmas Eve. According to the organizers, «this new sporting event, which will take place in La Geria, goes beyond a mere competition, as it tries to bring together a healthy lifestyle in symbiosis with respect for the natural environment and knowledge of gastronomy vernacular¨. The last wine run was held in 2019 pre pandemic.
