Lanzarote council has sighned an agreement with a non profit organisation to work on a project to create an air corridor free of Covid 19 for tourists that can be controlled digitaly. The island wants to promote a safe envoironment to ensure both the health and security of the local population and the tourists themselves and to reactivate tourism which has been affected by the pandemic and boost the economy. There will be a pilot phase with an international airport either in  the United Kingdom or Germany to test the credibility of the project. They also hope to carry out super-rapid tests to travelers who upon arrival at the airport do not have a certificate proving that they are free from Covid-19. For this they will be working with King’s College London Institute to find a solution using its scientific measures.
