A Tibecena is a mytholgical creature which is said to have lived deep in the caves of the Canary Islands. A description suggests that they had long fur and a body simular to a dogs and red eyes. They were also known as Guacanchas. Caves are still referred to liars for these creatures. Historians and a team of archaologists will be resuming work in September in one of these sites in Lanzarote. They plan to start digging and expect to finish over 10 months. They have a busget of 288,900 euros to discover more about the history of the island. The project will also persue a research programme contributing to the evolution of how life has changed on the island today.
