The Arrecife City Council has made a decision to have 3 new public electric buses in operation throughout the the city. The initiative will cost over one million euros, which will also include the installation of three recharging points for vehicles. The are hoping the buses will be in operation by the second half of the coming year. Each vehicle will have a maximum of 22 seats. These new buses are necessary with the current fleet being limited by the constant breakdowns and the age of the vehicles. Its the first steps to an environmental friendly Lanzarote
