Teguise celebrated last Friday, November 5, its new title of one of “The Most Beautiful Villages of Spain”, granted by the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain itself. The association proposed in 2019 that the village Teguise should form part of the quality brand and therefore carried out an inspection of the town. it was tested for cleanliness, conservation, traffic, green areas, parking and advertising.The event, which should have been held last year but was postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic, took place in the Plaza de La Constitución. It was attended by the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort and the official chronicler of Teguise, Francisco Hernández. Also present was the president of the Association of the Most Beautiful Towns of Spain, Francisco Mestre.
