A summary of the weather in 2020 compared to other years shows that with an average of 22 years it was the second hottest of the century. The data was accumulated by the Council Data Centre based on estimates from the State Meteorological Agency. As expected August was the hottest month, with an average of 26.2 degrees and  exceeding 30 degrees on some days. January averaged at 17.3 degrees. The Data Centre reported that in 366 days of last year there was only rainfall on 34 days. Most of the rainfall occurred in November followed by the other rainiest months of 2020 April and March.
