Lanzarotes’ largest pilgrimage is due to take place on 14/09/19 in honor the virgin Dolores in Macher Blanca. Thousands of islanders dressed in the traditional Canarian costume will make a promise and set off walking towards the village from their chosen locations to offer gifts normally in the form of food and produce which will later be given to the less fortunate.The pilgrimage will end at 21.45 hrs and a fiesta with live music and acts will start at 22.00 hrs and carry on until the early hours of the morning. Officially the celebration will start on 10/09/19 with a artisan fair which is attended by locals from the other islands as well as Lanzarote. The small church is well known for surviving the volcanic eruptions when the lava flow split and went around the structure.
