The Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism anounced, last Friday, the names of the artisans and artisans that will give life to MAS Campesino, a project that recovers the essence of the center devised by César Manrique, emphasizes the traditions and island customs and encourages interesting and innovative sustainable economic initiatives from the conservation and dissemination of our rich artisan heritage.
The cochineal culture, the emploita, the traditional ceramics, the organic agriculture, the rosettes, the leather goods with native skins, the cheeses and the jams, the gofio and the soaps of artisan creation will be present in what will be “a great showcase” of the ethnographic heritage of the island based on traditional craftsmanship, local gastronomy, local quality products and innovation.
