The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Canary Islands is investing more than 3 million euros to renovate the tourist center of Puerto del Carmen.The councilor responsible for the Area, Isaac Castellano, and the general director of Tourism Infrastructure, Héctor Suárez, met at the city hall with the mayor, José Francisco Hernández, and the councilor for Tourism, Amado Jesús Vizcaíno, to address the current state of the projects.

As indicated by the Ministry, “the most relevant intervention focuses on the promenade of Puerto del Carmen, specifically in the section that runs between the hotel Beatriz and the hotel Los Jameos, for which they are investing 2 million euros.The project will promote the rehabilitation of this public space with new urban furniture and green areas.
