Its been a while since I have discovered something on the island which I have not seen before. Yesterday I decided to have an island appreciation day. My travels took me to the north up to El Mirador del Rio. On the road that follows the coast of the north we took a right turn onto the road sign posted Guinate and then a left on to a dirt track that I have never noticed. I followed the track and noticed that there were information points telling you about the surrounding area. This was obviously a good place to walk and admire the scenery. Finally reaching the peak of the track there were some very impressive views of La Graciosa (the island to the north of Lanzarote) and surrounding countryside.
